My First-The Champions Burger Berlin

I attended Berlin’s first The Champions Burger. The eleven day event ends May 19th at the RAW-Gelände Friedrichshain. Not knowing what to expect, I got more than I expected, a big choice of hamburgers. Tis the season in the German capital for outdoor events, a big communal BBQ is fun way to start.

The Champions Burger, sponsored by Ninja Appliances, moves to Hamburg on May 23rd.

Back Again in XBerg

Recently, we returned to Kruezberg for dinner at Möllers Köttbullar. The quality of the restaurant is still up to par. The french fries taste like potatoes. Henrik Moeller’s attention to sourcing the best ingredients continues months after the our first interview from the Berlin establishment.

Eating in Solerno

I still remember eating in this restaurant while visiting Salerno, Italy. While walking in the old town I saw the sign on the narrow street. The atmospheric inside a 12th century church establishment got my attention because of its unique interior, with the lighting and vault ceilings. I recommend Taverna Santa Maria De Donno (TDSDM). This is the second time I have written about this eatery.

A Walk in Nuremberg

Nuremberg, the historical first city of Franconia region Germany offers a visitor delightful views. I spent a day walking around the old city acquainting myself to a relaxing vibe along the city walls and riverfront.

I liked the shopping district, of course, a mixture of small brands and big stores. While, Strolling around I walked into the Peach Patrol store to check out a local leather bag designer. Satisfying my luxury itch, Breuninger’s four floors, plus the famed department store ground floor cafe looking out on the street was a treat. Of you have to try one of the city’s many sausage restaurants and famed Nürnberger Bratwurst.

Lastly, a walk up to the palace for a view of the city is a tourist must.

My Yearly Usedom Recharge

I took my annual trip to Usedom. A mixture of clouds, cold, rain and sun made this tour a guessing game. For me it, walking along the long quiet empty beach for me is a mental battery charge.

My Mother Made It

A new series based on my cuisine experiences in Italy. The title comes from a conversation about who prepares the food in the kitchen. The guy replied, “My Mother Made It”. I had no more to say.

A New Series

Of course pasta plays a role in the story. How much?

Black and Paper received a guided tour of the store before the Christmas Rush. The store decorations are inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Five Story tall Christmas Tree in the main hall is decorated with round shaped colored ornaments in different sizes symbolizing planets with lights and displays representing the galaxy.
