A rainy cloud filled 2024 Christopher Street Day hit the city July 27th. Seventy-five trucks slinked through the capital on a ten kilometre journey finishing in Tiergarten at the Siegessäule Column. The weather did not dampen the spirit, just fewer naked bodies on the parade route. This year’s theme “for diversity and democracy” is a call for different communities to unite during these tense times.
Christopher Street Day Berlin arrived in Berlin. The seventy-three truck strong parade attracted it’s usual colorful revelry all in the name of PRIDE.
Folsom Street Berlin came back this year. The leather Cirque du Soleil did not disappoint this year with looks or lack of at times. It was all in the spirit of fun at Europe’s largest leather festival.

The Christopher Street Day Berlin celebration came roaring back in 2022. After two years in a moribund state, Gay Pride hit the streets of the capital city for a 7k walk of fun and pride. Walking around I witnessed everyone celebrating having a good time. In the words of George Clinton, “Free Your Mind and Your Ass will follow”.
