For me, this IFA has been about connecting and reconnecting. I have not seen any major tech leaps but stay tuned, the fair has just started.

IFA Berlin 2022 starts Sept 2nd.
The Neato D10 is a high end powerful robot vacuum for those of us who are not fans of cleaning floors. The very obvious D shaped device moves around the flat sweeping up debris efficiently.
My first impressions: speed, app, cleaning.
I tried the D10 without using the app to see how it worked. The docking process was straight forward. I hit the top “ON” button for a test try. There was a quick spin, off it went from one side to another. At first a bit awkward because the flat was unfamiliar terrain to the learning robot. On the device noise side, a constant whirl. The housing is smooth, simmering, sleek fast moving rolling and side brushes. The large 700 ml dust bin requires fewer emptying checks.
I got use to navigating the MyNeato app, but initially I found the somewhat software clumsy. Thankfully after looking at the reviews on Google Play and Apple Store I was not the only one. I had a struggle downloading to the OS System but had a smoother time with Android. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi pairing functions were hassle free. Schedule the time runs and controlling the No Go Zones took a moment to learn, now it a simple touch on the screen. Before leaving on holiday, the floor space was set up for a run, while on the beach I clicked the button activating an Echo Mode session. The other cleaning mode is Turbo. However, I never use this feature because the energy saver speed is enough.
It is important to keep cables out of the way of the Neato. The smooth voice prompts comes across as the voice from the sci fi film “Logan Run” side.
After some runs the Neato D10 learned the layout of the floor. A complete cleaning took less than an hour, a short run was around thirty minutes.
The Neato D10 is pricey compared to other robot cleaners. But this floor cleaning device become a part of my household tech family intelligently roaming the rooms three times a week.
Worth a buy.

My fast and first impressions of the Neato D10. The robot is now a part of the flat. Was it a reluctant choice? No.
The self learning vacuum cleans the floor in 39 minutes. After a few tries the N10 navigates the floor with no problem. “It’s very efficient.” Although, the map drawing part of the robot is a bit scary.
The Neato app is a bit clumsy to use. Not as intuitive as I would like.
I will give a more detailed review soon.
Covering IFA 2022 this September.
I need a Garmin now. I tested the device during a lock down and at the gym. Today, after spending Christmas in South Germany, I am on lean workout program to drop 4 kilos for an end goal of 79 kilos.
Too bad Santa did not leave this tech wearable under the tree after feasting for me after feasting for ten days. The need to burn some calories is real.
I will keep you updated on my progress.
I had an online interview with Mystery Vibe’s Soumyadip Rakshit about his Sexual Health Start Up and technology’s role in relationships.
Does the device make a noise?
Yes! It depends on the settings. There are 16 settings from soft to strong.
Is this a dildo or vibrator?
It is a vibrator, additionally, a high tech toy.
How easy are the devices to use?
The Mystery Vive devices are simple devices. User friendly. Anyone who is not tech savvy can use it with ease. The download apps are easy to use. The Crescendo is customizable loaded with many options for specific zones. Both ends can stimulate the prostate. Also, there are devices for stimulating nipples.
Is “Sex Toy” the right term to use for the devices?
You can use that term. It is for pleasure but also a health and medical device. Our health device or adult tech help improves the quality of life.
Is there gender specific usage?
No. All our devices cross gender lines.
What is the product material?
Outside it is made of body safe silicon. Inside, the material is electronic plastic. They are adaptable and stretch.
Is “sex toy” the right term?
You can call it that. We want people to have pleasure with the devices. It is also a healthcare device.
Is a lubricant needed with a toy?
We always recommend a lube to counter dryness.
Your background is originally not in adult toys.
No. I have a background in defense electronics, hardware research was an easy transition to sexual research.
Why this tech field?
My business partners and I, all of us are married, wanted to develop a product that would keep the marriages alive. Mystery Vibe products help couples reconnect.
When I saw you at IFA Berlin, a bit of a shock.
Mystery was the first adult device at IFA.
Where can you buy Mystery Vibe tech devices?
Online, duty free shops, Amazon and in Selfridges.
The New Year opened with yet another lockdown. The world is now working from home. A dramatic shift from going to the office to living room then being linked to colleagues via Zoom. The New Normal makes connected tech more important.
My headphone of choice these days has been the Jabra Evolve2-40. Positioned as an office headset, I use the device everyday all the time at home for conferences, interviews and teaching. The Evolve quickly evolved into my normal day workhouse device.
As an instructor, I have classes up to 3 straight hours with students. Comfort is a must for headgear. The cushions and headband feel nice, not getting hot on the ears or head after a long period of time.
I can feel the care for design with the weight and material quality. The Evolve 2-40 ear cups are lightweight foam that don’t sweat. The oval form earphone cups pivot easily adjusted for personal fit.
On the right side there are control buttons for sound, play music and answering online calls.
The swivel microphone is easy to use. The red light on the USB port alerts me when the mic is mute. Having two people in a small place home doing home office tasks is challenging. The Evolve 2-40 is equipped with noise isolation technology. This enables me to work while the other person in the room is having his digital work conferences.
Connectivity is easy either with USB-A or USB-C connections.
The one disadvantage of the USB connection is the incompatibility with my tech devices. I had to carry a second set of headphones.
The Evolve 2-40 comes with a black carry case for travel.
After everyday usage, my conclusion on the Jabra Evolve 2-40 is as a headset offers premium sound quality. Jabra may not be a household name compared its competitors, but this has not stopped the brand from making an excellent device worthing of attention.
