Pisa, Not A Cartoon Gag.
How many Saturday Morning cartoons did I watch with the Tower of Pisa as a center of joke? Always the same gag, the character’s actions either shift or straighten the famed structure. Never mind the animation jokes, the 14th century architectural work is worth the trip to Pisa. As one of the most recognized designed forms, I had a sense of amazement walking up to the Tower, a soft, noble elegant presence that even tourist doing the common pose could not cheapen.
We mothballed the travel podcast, but in celebration of the ITB Berlin returning, Clipper Inspired has been revived. From the German capital we’ll be reporting all the news about the travel world. The places to go. When to go? Where to go? How to go?

Checking Out the Nokia G60
I got the Nokia G60 5G smartphone to check out. I am still learning how the Android 12 device works. For a spin I walked the famous Nuremberg Christmas Market using the camera. Impressive and fast are my first impressions. The images turned out to be sharp and vivid.
I will give a full review of the Nokia G60 5G smartphone soon. I am still playing.
Valentino Who? The Royal Chambers fashion pieces in Dresden would inspire any fashionista. Intricate couture looks fashioned for royalty displayed are an eye full of rich materials and details. The Schloss museum located in the historic center of the Baroque city is worth a style visit.
Booked and ready to go for January 2023 at Pitti Uomo. After a few years we are ready to return to Florence for the big gathering of menswear fashion.

A Palace Is Still A Palace
The 18th century residence, The Royal Palace of Caserta is a a sight to behold. While traveling around Naples a stop at in Caserta was a must. The Southern Italian city is home to last great palace built in Europe. To say the least, it is spectacular. Cause of the Covid restrictions I could not go inside. A pity, but the outside garden was sufficiently eye filling, awe inspiring.
I recommend not visiting in August. The heat and sun are beasts making a walk in the garden a sweltering experience.

I visited Salerno during a hot summer in August. This charming Southern Italian city is worth a visit in the fall. The old streets, great restaurants and views offer much for travellers.

Gothic Inspiring Wismar
Located on the Baltic, Wismar, the Hansa City is a Gothic Experience worth visiting. As a travel destination the small ciry on the coast has not been overrun by mass tourism. Walking around the narrow streets it is easy to see why Marnau decided to film Nosferatu here. Wismar has the feeling of a place were Vampires once roamed at night.

I Want A New Train Set
Sometimes in life you go to a place that brings back memories. I had train sets a kid, loved playing with them for hours.
Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg brought back those days imaging being the train conductor.
Spread out over three floors the attractions are set up based on a destination of the world, Rio or Rome.
The attention to detail is a marvel with moving street traffic and working lights and of course the trains coming and going from depots.
Flight No. 211 to Abu Dubai or the Millennium Falcon landing from distanced worlds, the model a miniature airport serves many destinations. Passenger terminals, car parks, ground transport, maintenance vehicles landings and take offs are part of the attraction.
